Then the next issue… I wanted to be near a hospital just in case I needed it but I did not like the idea of being exposed to all those hospital germs. I did not like the idea of an independent freestanding clinic either.  A surgery center as part of a hospital I felt the best about. Nancy had the perfect place. That’s where they do all their tubal reversals – the Same Day Surgery Center at Bayfront Medical Center hospital — A highly respected hospital. Great.

  I can’t tell you just how glad I am that we went to Florida. We decided to stay on the beach before the surgery and make a vacation of it. It was like another Honeymoon for us, we saw dolphins, enjoyed the beach, we had a ball, even got sunburned.  

The surgery staff was wonderful at the Same Day Surgery Suite at Bayfront. And, I’m one who is scared of needles. They put us at ease and we ended up taking so many pictures before surgery and talking and laughing. They were telling us about all the people who come from all over the country and the world to have tubal reversal surgery by Dr. Zbella and Dr. Sanchez.  I could not believe that I was so relaxed just before surgery, but you had to be there to understand.  

Dr. Zbella came in and right then and there I just knew that I had made the right decision, he was teasing me because I was sunburned, he was so nice, I can’t begin to tell you in my opinion the best qualified and so nice too.

After the surgery they were so attentive, they took us right to our car, I tell you that meant a lot to us. It was all the little things that they took care of. It was not like they just took me to the front door, but right to our car.

Well when we got home I waited the recommended 8 weeks before trying to get pregnant. Dr. Zbella was very insistent about waiting so we did. I know a lot of doctors don’t seem to care that much about waiting but we followed Dr. Zbella’s advice.  

Well, here is the sad part now, my first baby was stillborn, and yes we were devastated. And when Dr. Zbella heard about it he called me personally right away to offer his condolences. But he was determined to help me and he found me a good doctor near my home in Idaho who could get to the bottom of what had gone wrong with the pregnancy.   

I decided to try again and almost immediately got pregnant again and had a beautiful baby girl. We named her Mirella. I picked that name because it means “miracle” and because it had “ella” in it, which was part of Dr. Zbella’s name. And did I tell you, I only have one tube! yes only one. I’ve had another baby girl since then, our second “miracle baby”, Maleah. And next year we hope to have another!  

So you see I have my “miracle family” thanks to an awesome, caring surgeon! He really cared and followed me all the way through. And, we had a phenomenal second honeymoon in Florida. Thanks, Nancy, Dr. Zbella, Dr. Sanchez and all the staff at the Tubal Reversal Experts. You guys are great!
